Yet again, hard drive or operating system failure lead me thank myself for creating complete replication or image of my current drive.
Using Acronis True Image, I created an image of my complete drive, which includes partitions containing the OS, programs, and all images. I then create a data back up to an external drive. Finally, I create another image and place this in a safe place in a different location (in our storage unit).
In case of drive failure, I remove the old drive, replace it with the new one, boot and am back in action within 15 minutes–which certainly beats a complete reinstall that takes me 12 hours.
