Have 6 seconds for contemporary work?

After renewing my artist membership at MoMA–one of the best deals ever–I took a quick look at two of my favorite areas of the Museum of Modern Art: the front area of the Photography Department and the last section of Contemporary Art on the forth floor.

Whenever I have twenty minutes or more, and I am in Mid-Town, I love to drop by and look at work.

The show, “A World of Its Own: Photographic Practices in the Studio,” took over the area traditionally allotted to the historical trove of photographs, but they do juggle things from time to time (in this case, I can’t say I’m fond of the temporary take-over).  Not shown in the clip were a few videos, including one by William Wegman and the Fischli and Weiss, “The Way Things Go.
