No MoMA Photo Portfolio Drop-off for a Year

Most museums, seemingly inaccessible to emerging or even established photographers, occasionally cracked their doors somewhat with an open portfolio drop off. Basically, several times a year, you could just drop off a box of photographs which would be reviewed by the curatorial staff. This, it seems, has ceased. The Museum of Modern Art used to have this, but for the last year or so, has curtailed looking at work due to budgetary reasons. The Metropolitan Museum used to accept slide carousel trays and the Art Institute of Chicago looked at dropped off work too–but no more.

MoMA said to check back in the spring or most likely, a year from now…
