Pictures by Women: A History of Modern Photography at MoMA

At MoMA, there are some knockouts in the Pictures by Women show. These are some I found compelling:

Judith Joy Ross (I’ve always found her work chilling and compelling direct).

Mary Frey (whom I saw at a MoMA show years ago, and made me think of going to graduate school).


Diane Arbus (I’ve always loved this image).

Dorthea Lange (this seems so lyrical).
