Robert Attanasio at Jim Kempner Fine Art

Robert Attanasio’s current show at Jim Kempner Fine Art (just opened Thursday), is a mix of many things, mostly of things found or wryly observed, and mostly pertaining to the artworld or the political, such as the vitrine containing bits of carefully tagged detritus–something not normally worth a second glance.

In a democratic gesture, Robert included Jeffrey Allen Price’s piece made of found sponges carefully carved into states of the United States. My favorite was the curl of Massachusetts’ Cape Cod. The midwest, where Jeffrey is from, is purposely and particularly soiled.

  1. what a lame post about this critical and irreverent show about the art world and the streets. surely someone from yale can do better than your feeble attempt, or
    perhaps not.
