While attending the Bloedel Reserve Creative Residency on Bainbridge Island, Washington, I spent three weeks in this stunning “cottage”. Originally built for Prentice Bloedel, the house sits in the forest, but is on the edge of the park’s entrance. Highlights were deer coming to the window and being awoken by coyotes howling at night.
