I will be in Paris from November 9 through November 15, 2026, for Paris Photo, Polycopies, and the citywide photography circuits. During the week, I am sharing information about the project, churn, a sequence of hours-long, viewfinder-free night landscapes photographed in near-complete darkness across southern Greenland, supported by grants from the American-Scandinavian Foundation. Moving beyond traditional documentary photography, churn captures nocturnal terrains where radioactive greens, apocalyptic reds, and lingering human debris register the psychological dread of the Anthropocene.
Alongside previewing churn, I am meeting with curators, publishers, and archive directors to discuss how artists, estates, and institutions can protect their archives from AI hallucinations and become accurately cited in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude—building on my guide for artists, photographers, and archives and my peer-reviewed research.
To help colleagues, curators, and fellow photographers navigate the week, below is the master schedule of every major fair, book signing, museum retrospective, curatorial symposium, and late-night opening across Paris from November 9 to 15. If our paths cross at the Grand Palais, aboard Polycopies, or in the Marais and Saint-Germain, reach out directly at info@stevegiovinco.com.
